Discipline Chart 

Green :) -  Perfect Day

Yellow -     Warning
Orange–    Walk 10 minutes
Purple-      Walk 20 minutes at recess 
Red-          Unacceptable (Parent contact)

 

You will receive a calendar in the front of their gray folder that I will mark daily to indicate your child’s behavior each day. You must sign and return daily.   

  

Homework :   you will have one worksheet per night (Mon.-Thurs.) read for 20 minutues, study sight words and study Math facts daily. 
 

Standards to work on:  

Math Skills:   

* Count to 100

* Write and represent numbers 0-20

* count and work with numbers  0-20

* count to answer" how many" with numbers 0-20 in a line and in an array.
* sort objects into categories : count the number of objects in each category 
   up to 20

* correctly name two-dimensional (flat) and three-dimensional shapes (fat)  

   triangle,rectangle, circle, square, hexagon, rhombus, sphere, cylinder, cone  and cube.

* Tell wheter objects in a group are greater than, less than or equal to
* Sort objects by shape and size 
* Decompose numbers 0-10
* Model 2D & 3D shapes 
* Count forward starting at any number up to 100
* can show addition and subtraction in many ways within 10
* can solve addition and subtraction word problems within 10
* fluenty add and subtract within 5
*

Sight Words:  the, a , I, is, like, see, you, in, can, my, we, in,it, are, on my,love, was, blue, red, yellow, green, orange, purple, white,black, brown, pink, have, they ( study the flashcards daily or sight word sheet in study binder)

Phonics:  we are working on the Alphabet and letter sounds (Aa, Bb, Cc,Dd,Ee,Ff,Gg,Hh,Ii,Jj,Kk,Ll,Mm,Nn, Oo, Pp, Qq,Rr,Ss,Tt,Uu,Vv,Ww,Xx,Yy,Zz)

 

Language Arts: 

* Follow words left to right, top to bottom, page by page: recognize and name all upper/ lower case letters.

* orally separate syllables, identify and make rhyming words, substitute sounds,and identify beginning,middle, and ending sounds.

* identify letters and sounds: decode using phonics and read sight words.

* Can read on level

* Identify front cover, back cover and title page of a book
* actively engage in group reading activities with purpose and understanding.
* Uses grade appropriate grammar when writing and speaking. 
* The student participaes in conversations with different partners: ask and answers questions to gain understanding. 
 

Your child may bring a snack and drink daily.
