All About Miss Holly

I have known since I was a little girl, lining up my dolls (and my little brother) to play school, that I wanted to be a teacher.  This will be the beginning of my eleventh year teaching- all at Shadow Oaks and all in kindergarten.  I was born in Memphis, but moved to Horn Lake at a very young age. I graduated from Horn Lake High School in 2004. From there, I went to the University of Mississippi where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I attend SouthPoint Church where I enjoy serving in the toddler room on Sundays!  I am a huge sports fan, and though I graduated from Ole Miss, my heart belongs to the Memphis Tigers!   I do not have any children of my own. I do, however, have 2 precious nephews that I love to spoil. They are my greatest blessings!

I believe that learning should be fun, and that students should love to learn and enjoy coming to school. With that being said, I have very high expectations for all of my students.  I also believe parental involvement is needed for success!  It takes a village. ;)

All About Ms. Gracie

I am very lucky to have a wonderful teaching assistant, Mrs. Gracie Green. Mrs. Gracie has been an assistant teacher for over fifteen years.  This will be our fourth year working together.  She can finish my sentences! :)

Mrs Gracie was born in Memphis.  She moved to Southaven when she was fifteen years old. She graduated from Southaven High School and Northwest Mississippi Community College.  Mrs. Gracie is married and has three children (2 boys, 1 girl) and one handsome grandson.  She enjoys reading, and working on word puzzles.  She also enjoys going to thrift stores and yard sales to see what "treasures" she can find!
